Unique Internship Opportunities - Exclusive Offer to Our Students!

WJU is located in Silicon Valley, California, USA, with a history spanning 75 years. Our university is not only dedicated to the imparting of knowledge, but also to helping students build their future so that every graduate of our school can excel in this competitive era. 

Since 2016, WJU has established an international student center, insisting that every international student should participate an internship program prior to graduation. With many years of efforts and dedication to the cultivation of talents, the teaching achievements have been well recognized by people from all walks of life, especially from the State of California and many international enterprises in Silicon Valley, which guarantees that our qualified students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship. 

Students of our university have numerous choices regarding their major such as in Education, Computer Science, Business, to name a few. Qualified students in these majors for example may also participate in an internship during their third and/or fourth year prior to graduation. In addition, students are required to take courses related to internship and preparation for employment each year during their undergraduate studies, such as Career Exploration, Interview and Resume Writing and Career Readiness. The goal is to enable international students to learn about, adapt to and integrate into American life and culture at a faster pace, and assist them to practice WJU's guaranteed internship program in the United States. 

Since all students have to go through an internship to gain practical work experience before graduation, WJU students are more competitive than other graduates when they plan to study in a top graduate school or work in an international enterprise. Last year for example, 98.6 % of our qualified students were employed within six months of graduation. 

In addition, about 87 % of the students were employed by the Fortune 500 companies successfully through internship before graduation last year. Several are employed by major companies in Sacramento and Silicon Valley, such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Intel, Oracle, VMware, Tesla, Bank of America, Hilton Worldwide, Kaiser Hospital, EA Games and Hewlett Packard. By far, the top three companies offering the most internship opportunities and employment opportunities to our students are Google (11%), Apple (10%) and NVIDIA (4%). 

Since 2019, WJU has been further recognized by more large companies and organizations. WJU has officially cooperated with Walk Water Technologies to offer Oracle Gold Certificate to qualified candidates who successfully pass the training program. WJU regularly arranges students to enter Oracle or other companies to get training directly before graduation. Students who successfully complete the training and perform well will be eligible to be employed by Oracle, SAP, or other organizations during CPT and OPT (Optional Practical Training). Not only can qualified students receive a work authorization visa, but many also enjoy generous benefits such as contract bonuses, housing allowance, promotions and insurance.
